REFLECT

When Christmas comes along, a lot of important ideas and themes can get lost in the middle of everything else. One thing that almost never gets lost though is the idea of gifts.

Even for people who don’t follow the Christian faith, Christmas is a time to give and receive presents. It’s a great way to share love between families and friends, and for a lot of people it’s one of the nicest parts of Christmas.

This year we will all hopefully be giving and receiving presents, but maybe as well as that, there is another way we can look at the whole idea of gifts…

We all give and receive gifts all the time, and we all see the gifts that God gives.

Every single one of us has been given amazing things by God and every single one of us has so many things that we can give to other people.

PRAY

Loving Father,

Help me to realise just how many gifts I have in my life. Help me to see the amazing things you have given me, and help me to realise how much I have that I can give to others.

Amen.

CHALLENGE

You challenge for today is to think of something good that God has done for you lately and to give him thanks. When you have done that, try to do something nice for somebody else.

good luck :)
